Good example of the average waves in front of the SAND AND SEA RV PARK. Not as big as most days but not small. More glass than usual but yesterday afternoon was like oil. Two things that set this session apart were: Had someone to paddle out with and Patty took some photos. Like carving butter! Last wave. "Last one in is shark bait!" Surfline forecast called this ankle to waist high.
Doesn't get better than this in Florida! Brevard county, central Florida Coast, 8-27-2011. Boca Raton, located between Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach in South Florida. Thanks for the pics B.H.
I don't go camping that often but when I do.....I drive a Mercedes Benz.California plates..what a surprise!
Agate beach Tuesday morning. Surfed it in the evening. Haze lifted, wind came up slightly from the east and turned it into a SURFERS JOURNAL type photo opp. Last Monday Semi shore pound. Less than 100 feet off the beach.
Tuesday a.m..Agate Beach
Pete and Alita were on their way from Washington to Venice California for the Venice High School Centennial and a 45th class reunion. Driving thru Oregon Pete shot these photographs (except Rico's Report) which I believe were pre dawn to early / mid morning.Pre dawn headlights on Hwy 101 If you click on this photo, you can compare 2 people walking the beach to the rugged grandeur of the Oregon coast.
RICO REPORT: Overcast with slight offshores, 6 to 10ft faces and very good conditions. Photos later!
Chris Swanson and Wayne Faulkner, Venice High School 45th class reunion.
Prediction in an email I received this morning from the tow in crew. Nothing to do with Cannon Beach, I just liked the art work on this guys skim board.
Surf reports are calling this 1 to 2 feet. Agate Beach
Newport
Trailer Parks, Lincoln Beach.
September brings towin swells! The season is going to start in 4-6 weeks. Some guys are saying the Jet Stream is already slowing down & predicting the first descent sized swell in the next 2 weeks!
UPDATE: couple more shots from late afternoon session. Yesterday (Monday) we had another Oil / Glassy day with waist to overhead. Sunday
4 to 6 foot chest to a foot O.H. Some pules' producing 2 ft. O.H. glass in front of the RV park Sunday late afternoon. My 1st session this morning was consistent head to 2 foot O.H.
I checked 4 forecast sites. NOAA to Surfline. They all said basically knee to waste high. For months I've been comparing what I'm seeing to what their reporting and.. at least for Oregon, they are consistently off the mark. I can only trust Rico's report David Beer, visiting from Ocean Beach in San Francisco is here with his wife Christina and their pooch Minie. Makes the session alot of fun with a buddy to paddle out with. Patty snapped this at the end of the ride... setting up for a shore pound blast!
