My first gift from Patty, in 1999, is this book. She was my neighbor and my friend back then. It wasn't until 9-11 that we knew we meant more to each other than just friends.

PATTY'S ALOHA PART 3

After about 10 years  we realized how lucky we were to have gone thru changes that brought us more together opposed to moving us in different directions. It had been HAPPY MAGIC . We were always commenting how fortunate we were. Life couldn't get any better.

Patty said "when I'm recovered enough to travel will you take us up the 1 and 101 from Ventura to Washington so I can thank all our friends."  I am and bring her with me early to mid January to carry out her last wish.

Dear Spike - thank you so much for sending. It was the most moving ceremony I've ever experienced. The music helped me to be so present. I am so grateful to have been there, and to have the privilege of knowing and loving Patty. Hugs and bravo, it was just beautiful.

I always loved Patty's style. I loved the fact that she hated shopping. So much so that she depended on me to pick out something she HAD TO PURCHASE for an upcoming boat show.
