BACK IN THE DAY

BUT TODAY WAS THE SECOND MOST EMOTIONAL DAY IN MY LIFE ....PATTY'S PASSING BEING # 1 DAVID WEST ( WE GO BACK OVER 50 YEARS TO THE DAYS OF THE BLUEBIRD CAFE AND THE MUSIC THAT CAME FROM IT. SPENT MOST THE DAY BEING VIDEO GRAPHED AND RESPONDING TO QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE MUSIC SCENE IN THE 1970'S.ONE OF THE QUESTIONS WAS " HOW DID YOU MANAGE DOING CONCERT TOURS WITH NO CELL PHONES AND NO COMPUTERS ?" BOTH THE PHOTOGRAPHER AND THE WOMAN CONDUCTING THE INTERVIEW ARE STILL IN THE 30'S. IT WAS A GREAT QUESTION. INTERESTING, FUNNY AND CHALLENGING TRYING TO REMEMBER HOW IT WAS DONE. 2 1/2 HOURS LATER WE WERE LAUGHING AND ALSO IN TEARS. IT WAS THEROPY ( dear God will i ever get back ( and retain )how to spell ???) And NO...spell check doesn't work in my blogs. DANG

R.I.P BUD HEDRICK Part Two

Bud is my friend and mentor for the past 53 years. I say that in the present tense as he will always show me the way forward. Bud made me a guitar ( his first ) 20 years ago. I have yet to hear another as true and beautiful sounding. We sailed, made music, scuba, bird watched, painted and more, much more but most important we had fun together. so many stories ... happy, sad,( Bud was the first of two I called when I was told there was nothing more the doctor could do for Patty 9 days before she died ). Go have fun in the spirit world and give Patty a kiss from me ole Buddy.
