BEND PART TWO

BEND with 3 of the 4 sisters in the background.

The Hawaiian plate lunch has been a staple in the Islands for decades.  It was a semi daily treck during the 16 years spent residing there. Someone decided to bring it to a little town called SISTERS 20 miles outside Bend, Oregon.

There goes the neighborhood

BEND, OREGON

Patty and I were having dinner when this group  came together next to our outdoor table.
After 30 minutes the energy from them was spilling over the entire block. College students busting out at the beginning of their summer vacation in Bend.

Summer ski season starts today. Since the opening page photo has the biggest impact I had a moment of indecision deciding which of the 1st two photos to post first.

Mount Bachelor towering over the city of Bend.

Think these girls are stoked about summer ?

MORE FARMER'S MARKET

It's still too early in the season up here for a full harvest.

This is Harley, Rico's playmate. Harley belongs to the park manager, Charlene.

These two guys have been best friends for over 50 years. Here they are looking at a wall photo of themselves taken during their 1st week in New York after leaving Colombia for the American Dream in 1963. The man on the right is Patty's dad, Ernesto with best friend Jimmy.

THE RICO REPORT

This is a photo description of  "TRAILER PARKS" my home break. Photos taken yesterday, Sunday. First pic is a longboarder in the shore break to give a size perspective. The #2 photo is another shot of the shore break. #3 is my favorite...The outside reef  directly in front of the park at about double overhead. #4 Is the middle break and perfect.

Ridable shore pound

The good news. More people are surfing my home break compared to last year when days like this went unridden.
