NICE DAY

The strand in Oxnard was 10 to 14ft. on the outside with glassy conditions.

Same ole perfect stuff! Outside reef and inside sandbar.

VENICE .. THE BAND

Their Christmas show last night.
There was a problem with the sound system for about 6 or 7 min. at which point the band laid down their instruments and mics, stood close together at the foot of the stage and rang out a rendition of the Star Spangled Banner in an acapella of cascading harmonies unequaled.You truly have to hear them in a live performance. We met at Nancy's house for dinner before making the run from Ventura to Santa Monica.

Size and conditions were all over the place depending on time of day and location. Pics were shot within 3 hours in a 2 mile distance.

The swell didn't miss the Ventura Overhead altogether yesterday but 1- 1/2 miles south at California Street, Ventura Harbour and the river mouth it was macc'n. The overhead was half the size I thought it was going to be although the swell was still building last night. Still dark outside as of this writing.

ON THE HORIZON

Big swell due tomorrow Wed. The Overhead forecast to be 15 ft!
