BEACH WEDDING BELLS

The Golden Hour and good waves. Perfect conditions for Kris and Meridiths big day!

Meridith Sykes. We surfed together several times at Tampa Ave. One time she paddled out to me, we hugged, chatted for a bit and she caught a wave. The rest of the Tampa Crew all asked at once " WHO IS THAT" drooling all over the decks of their boards. You should of seen the reactions/expressions when I simply said "SHE'S MY DAUGHTER". Stay thirsty my friends.

One of those photos that you never plan on getting. It's like people vanish if they got to close to the alter.
Kris Sanford
The groom getting a few waves before the wedding?

Mr. and Mrs. Sykes or is it Sanford?
It's a done deal for Kris and Meridith.

The newly weds son, Jaden looking pretty darn handsome.

Kimo Wilder McVay, founder of the Duke contest teamed with Hobie Hawaii, hired shapers Don Koplien and Ryan Dotson on the North Shore trying to change the Hobie Image from old to new school. Hard to pull off with the old time DUKE logo in 1969. We had these radical wild guns shaped by Dotson with the DUKE crowned logo on the deck. It was a catch 22. Kimo insisted on the old school logo. We sold the DUKE guns in the Hobie shop. Honolulu International Center Surf Expo 1968
