DIAZ

I liked this photo Mark Diaz took of his wife Tone and son Lucas  that I had to devote a blog to them. The Diaz family is currently based in France.

Patty and I met Mark and Tone when they moved from Half Moon Bay to Fort Lauderdale before Lucas was born.

Both are pilots who were...

...based out of San Francisco airport and living in Half Moon Bay.

When Mark was transferred from Florida to Oregon about 2005 he introduced me to surfing in the Northwest along with thick rubber, gloves and hood. Above is the current forecast for Oregon this week.

Back in the day before surfline and leashes Wayne and I could always count on Ventura for waves. We spent many a day driving from South Bay (Hermosa Beach)up PCH looking for surf ending up at C STREET.
