OREGON SURF CULTURE/WINTER VS.SUMMER

Easily as gnarly as Mav's and located a mile offshore. Check out the background wave with just the Crest feathering. 10 feet of white water on that Crest. Nelscott Reef, early November, 2010.

Check the ski and the person being towed behind it.
NELSCOTT parking lot. Great place to have lunch.
This is why it's called Oregon's Waikiki. Mid afternoon on a Wednesday, July 21, 2011.Every headland/point has a deep and protected bay on it's south side. It provides small surf, calm seas, miles of wide beaches and warmer temperatures.
