LAST TIME AROUND

This is my buddy Wayne Faulkner. We grew up surfing and going to school together. A friend's dad had a 1940 Ford woody which was our ride looking for waves along PCH from Venice to Malibu to Rincon. Wayne flew down from Port Angeles, Washington where he works for WESTPORT YACHTS to visit over last weekend. There was a longboard contest being held at California St. which was a major flashback for the both of us. After we finished school (he from Humbolt University) we lived in Hawaii. Wayne took my place as Beach Captain (after Rabbit) at the Outrigger Canoe Club and the rest is history. So much of it that we spent 2 days talking about it nonstop as we had not seen each other in 26 years (1983). And it all happened thanks to Nancy (no f'in baggage) Sunfield who forced herself to attend her high school reunion. She knew I had been trying to locate Wayne for years and he was the 1st person she ran into at the reunion. THANKS NANCY! We leave for Big Sur today with a night in Pismo Beach (Sy and Hannah) and on to Monterey. Patty, Nugget, RicoBama and me..we are a team. Proven time and time again. LUCKY ME. r/s
Ventura has been good to us and for us!
